ST0385 Operations or Departmental Manager

The role of an operations or departmental manager usually includes the following:

·        Manages a team and/or project

·        Has responsibility for planning, delivering, and achieving departmental goals/objectives.

·        Responsible for operational and/or policy delivery of the organisations strategy.

·        Accountable to a more senior person within the organisation.

An operations/departmental manager can be a professional manager from any sector and organisation size.

The Standard has been designed to provide access to development opportunities for a wide range of individuals. This includes those who are at the start of their career and wish to make the first steps into professional management, aswell as those who have already developed practical experience but want to develop their theoretical understanding of management skills.
